She was the last boat built by Walter Reekie of St Monans. He died after falling and striking his head on the gunwale while going on board with items to fit out after the launch.
In 1952, she was sold to Skipper Matt Leadley of Whitby and renamed 'Success II', WY63. In 1960 she was sold and reregistered SH112. In 1975, she was sold to Skipper Bill Messruther of Scarborough where she was reregistered 'Success II', LH157, and re-engined. She was sold in 1988 and then later decommissioned c. 1994.
