Angus Martin reading ‘Always Boats and Men’

Angus Martin reading his poem 'Always Boats and Men'. This piece was featured in a volume reflecting upon the relationship between island people and the vessels that carry them 'down to the sea in ships'. The volume was published in 2010 and featured the poetry of Angus Martin and the art of Mark I'Anson.

About the author: Angus Martin was born in Campbeltown in 1952 and became a herring fisherman at the age of 15. He began writing poetry in his early teens, and has had 36 books published, including 10 of his poetry. 'The Larch Plantation', his first poetry collection, received a Scottish Arts Council Spring Award in 1991.
