Brailing herring onboard 'King Fisher', CN263.

Herring are scooped out of the net with a brailer, a long stocking shaped bag attached to an iron hoop on a wooden pole. The tail of the bag is hoisted from the brailer derrick and the fish is emptied into the deck pound or hold.
